HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES:
- The Lions struck first when Andrada Gordan and Sophie Vlietstra claimed an 8-4 win over Eva Agasse and Alex Yeardley at No. 3.
- Ana Navas and Isabella Lowrey quickly responded, though, at No. 1 with an 8-4 triumph against Kristyna Jukova and Madeline Gauthier.
- Andrea Ivanovic and Daniela Obando would give the Sharks a 2-1 advantage heading into singles following a nail-biting 8-6 win over Marta Vicens Miquel and Maja Pindelska.
SINGLES
- Navas would pick up from where she left off in Friday's match versus Florida Tech, earning another straight-set victory, 6-3, 6-2 over Vicens Miquel in the top-flight.
- However, that is all the Sharks would tally as the Lions slowly rallied back to win the match after claiming No. 2 through No. 6 singles.
